What really won me over, though, was how the place balances that authentic Verona feel with just enough modern comforts to make it practical for a longer stay. The rooms – I had one on the second floor overlooking the street – are spacious for a historical building, with these high ceilings and big windows that let in tons of natural light. There’s a little kitchenette stocked with basics (think fresh coffee pods and a mini-fridge that actually keeps things cold), which was a lifesaver after wandering around Piazza delle Erbe all day. You can smell the herbs and fresh bread wafting up from the market stalls below, especially on Saturdays when it’s packed with vendors. All in all, if you’re the type who wants to immerse yourself in Verona without sacrificing comfort – maybe you’re here for the opera season at the Arena (it’s literally a 10-minute walk) or just to explore Juliet’s balcony without the hassle of commuting – this is your spot. It’s not flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but that’s what makes it feel real, you know?   Good location in the ancient part of Verona. No parking allowed within 500 m for non residents.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is dark, it does not get sunlight. We hired for 2 bedrooms but one bedroom was actually a blind TV room with a sofa, turned into a bed and the only way to reach the bedroom was to cross the TV room.
  The only bedroom is noisy because the window is on the street.
