I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Residenza Il Melograno Fiera, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like just another business hotel. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t try too hard to impress you end up being exactly what you need.

The staff here really gets it too. When I arrived (running late because, well, Milan traffic), they didn’t make me feel rushed during check-in, and the guy at the front desk actually gave me proper directions to a great little osteria around the corner, not just the usual tourist trap recommendations.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to create this peaceful bubble even though you’re still very much in the city. The rooms are surprisingly quiet – I mean, you’re not going to forget you’re in Milan, but you can actually sleep without earplugs, which is saying something. And the beds? They’ve clearly invested in good mattresses because I slept like a rock every night. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with that rainfall showerhead that actually has decent pressure (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong). There’s this attention to small details that you notice after a day or two – like how they’ve placed reading lights exactly where you need them, or how the curtains actually block out light properly.

The breakfast situation deserves a mention too. It’s not one of those massive buffets, but what they do have is really good quality. Fresh pastries from a local bakery, proper espresso (obviously), and they’ll make you eggs however you want them. I actually found myself looking forward to sitting in their breakfast room each morning – it gets this lovely light, and there’s something satisfying about starting your day somewhere that feels more like a friend’s dining room than a hotel restaurant. The whole vibe is just… comfortable. That’s the word I keep coming back to. It’s the kind of place where business travelers become regulars, and I can see why. With a 9.6 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it. Sometimes you don’t need bells and whistles – you just need a place that understands hospitality and executes it perfectly.

  Struttura nuova, pulizia impeccabile, cura nei dettagli e presente tutto quello che serve.
  I proprietari sono stati molto gentili e flessibili sul check out permettendoci di partire con più calma. Massima disponibilità per ogni esigenza.

  Siamo stati con la mia famiglia per un breve soggiorno di due notti, ci siamo trovati benissimo!
  La residenza è curata in ogni dettaglio con grande gusto e con tutti i confort. Gli elettrodomestici sono nuovi e affidabili anche per soggiorni più lunghi!
  L'ambiente è davvero caldo e accogliente, molto pulito in ogni suo angolo: stanza, cucina, bagno!
  Alessandro e la sua compagna ci hanno accolti con la massima disponibilità e gentilezza.

  Top Ausstattung, sehr nette Besitzer. Lage etwas außerhalb, aber mit dem Auto kein Problem.
  
  What could be improved: Die Lage der Wohnung. Der Weg mit dem Rad war nicht sehr schön zu fahren. Viel Verkehr. Mit dem Auto sicher kein Problem.

  Mérite un 4 étoiles
  Accueil chaleureux. Grande disponibilité des propriétaires, si vous avez besoin. Belles attentions: café, viennoiseries, thé, mousseux… L’appartement est d’une propreté impeccable et contient tout le nécessaire pour passer un beau séjour. Quartier calme et sécuritaire. Lit très confortable. Accès facile au centre ville en bus. Bref, une note parfaite!

  A szállás töklétes volt számunkra. Zárt udvarban lehetett ingyen parkolni. Verona autóval 10, közeli szupermarket 1 percre volt. A közelben van néhány pizzéria.
  A lakás nagyon tiszta és kényelmes volt. wifi-vel, AC-vel se volt gond.
  A kulcsokat a szállásadótól vettük át, akik nagyon kedves emberek. A kommunikáció tökéletes volt velük. Mindig mindenre gyorsan válaszoltak. Alex még látnivalókat és éttermeket is ajánlott a Garda tónál és Veronában.
  Később érkeztünk, mint ahogy a hirdetésben fel van tüntetve a check in határideje, de nem volt gond.
  Mindennel elégedettek voltunk és nagyon ajánljuk a szállást. Ha legközelebb arra járunk biztos itt fogunk megszállni.

  A perfect apartment if you're traveling by car. Alessandro and Laura are incredibly pleasant and caring hosts. The apartment is well-equipped, with a good A/C in the kitchen and an additional fan in the bedroom, which was crucial for us in August. While there's no kettle, the microwave can be used to make tea. The neighborhood is calm, with always a place to park. A very good supermarket, a pasticceria, and a couple of restaurants are nearby. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the parking lot near the entrance to the historical center. We’d be happy to stay again in this lovely place.

  Merci à Alessandro et Laura pour leur chaleureux accueil, et tous les conseils donnés pour visiter la région.
  L'appartement est très bien situé dans un quartier calme à 10min en voiture du centre de Vérone, et il est facile de se rendre au lac de Garde et même jusqu'à Venise.
  Possibilité de se garer dans la cour juste devant l'appartement, il y avait toujours de la place.

  It is a beautiful apartment. The family put much affert to make it feel pampered and beautiful. The bed is OMG comfy. The location is a bit far from verona center but we know that. It is very easy to get on a bus and be on your way.
