Honestly, when I first walked into Residenza Mustacchi, I wasn’t expecting much – the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, and you know how some boutique places can be all style and no substance. But this place completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels authentic rather than trying too hard, with beautiful terracotta floors that look like they’ve been there forever (in a good way) and these gorgeous antique pieces scattered around that actually tell a story.

What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making your stay memorable – not in that overly rehearsed hotel way, but more like distant relatives who want to make sure you’re comfortable. The rooms are spacious by European standards, which honestly surprised me given how many cramped spaces I’ve squeezed into over the years. The beds are properly firm (thank goodness), and there’s this attention to detail in the linens and lighting that makes you want to just… stay in. I mean, the bathroom alone had me questioning why I ever settle for basic accommodations – heated floors and a rainfall shower that actually has decent water pressure. Small victories, right?

You can tell this is the kind of place where they’ve thought about the guest experience without making it feel manufactured. The breakfast setup isn’t some massive buffet situation, but rather this carefully curated selection of local pastries, fresh fruit, and really good coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours. I actually found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the morning light in their dining area is just perfect for people-watching through the windows. The 9.7 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works exactly as it should. The Wi-Fi is solid (crucial for me), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and somehow they’ve managed to soundproof the rooms well enough that you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway. It’s one of those places where you realize you’ve been settling for mediocre hotels without even knowing it, and suddenly you understand why some travelers are so particular about where they stay.

What truly made our stay exceptional was the warm hospitality and professionalism of the owners. They were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about providing a top-quality experience for their guests. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out.   Eravamo in 3 amiche per un weekend.
  Appartamento bellissimo e nuovissimo.
  Pulito. Ottima biancheria (asciugamani e lenzuola)
  Ottimo il letto matrimoniale ma anche il divano letto.
  Ottima posizione.
  Manca un posto auto ma abbiamo trovato a 400 metri un parcheggio blù.
