Hotel Description

I remember pulling up to RiverView Luxury flat on Via Isonzo last summer, right after dodging the usual afternoon traffic snarl around Borgo Trento – you know, that neighborhood just across the Adige from Verona’s old town, where the locals zip around on Vespas and the air smells faintly of espresso and river mist in the mornings. Honestly, it’s one of those spots that feels like a well-kept secret; not smack in the tourist crush like near the Arena, but close enough that you can stroll over Ponte Pietra in about 10 minutes for a gelato or to catch a show. The building itself is this sleek, modern setup tucked along the water – four stars, sure, but it doesn’t scream “hotel” at all; more like a posh apartment block where you’d actually want to linger. Check-in was a breeze, no fuss with a lobby full of tour groups – just a friendly host who handed over the keys and pointed out the balcony overlooking the river. I mean, waking up to that view? Sun glinting off the water, with the faint hum of boats chugging by – it sets the tone for a Verona trip that’s more relaxed than rushed.

What really sold me on the place was how it balances luxury with that lived-in feel, you know? The flat I had was spacious, with these high ceilings and a kitchenette stocked with basics – think fresh linens that actually smell clean, not like they’ve been through a hundred washes, and a bathroom with one of those rain showers that make you forget about the outside world. It’s in Borgo Trento, so you’re steps from little spots like that bakery on Via Mameli for morning cornetti, or you can wander down to the river path for a jog if you’re into that (though watch out for cyclists – they’re everywhere). Parking’s a bit of a hassle if you’re driving in; the streets are narrow and spots fill up fast, especially in July when everyone’s flocking to the opera festival. But once you’re settled, it’s quiet at night – well, aside from the occasional church bell from across the way, which sort of adds to the charm. I appreciated the little touches, like the complimentary bottle of Valpolicella waiting in the fridge – nothing over-the-top, but it made the place feel thoughtful. Oh, and the Wi-Fi? Solid, no dropouts even when I was streaming from the terrace.

All in all, if you’re eyeing Verona for a romantic getaway or just to soak in the Shakespeare vibes without the chaos – think Juliet’s balcony a quick walk away – RiverView’s a smart pick. It’s got that 8.9 rating for a reason; not perfect (the AC can be a tad noisy if you’re a light sleeper), but it delivers on the luxury flat promise without feeling stuffy. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially off-season in spring when the crowds thin out and you can really claim that river view as your own. Trust me, it’s the kind of spot that makes you linger over breakfast, plotting your next lazy day in the city.

There is a supermarket close to the house. The apartment was at 2 mins from the center. Excellent location. The apartment was very clean and very comfortable.

What could be improved: After arriving in Venice, I bought a jacket, and when I entered the apartment in Verona, I hung it on a coat hanger so that it would not wrinkle. We left the apartment at 5 in the morning and I packed all my things. hanger. After that, as I remembered, we immediately start calling the owner of the apartment (on the same day, but at 10 in the morning), at first she does not pick up the phone for 2 days, and then claims that nothing was found! I clearly remember where and what jacket I left it, but they decided not to return it to me, but to walk in it themselves) Because if you decide to stay there, know that if you leave something, no one will return anything to you!

    Location

  • Peta from Australia – 25 July 2024 (9/10)

Great location, view of the river, easy to access and great communication.

What could be improved: Needed to provide fan for the small bedroom as it was way too hot.

  • Ruth from United Kingdom – 26 June 2024 (9/10)

Excellent location and stunning view of the river!
Easy access into the building with the web link and using my phone. No issues whatsoever.
We arrived late and ordered a justeat delivery to the building.
Two bathrooms, huge living room. Kitchen with lots of storage, lift access to the right floor.
Sofa very comfortable and turns into sofa bed.
    Tv with netflix.
Big dining table. Air con was great too as it was very hot.
    Would stay again!
Parked outside with two cars. One had to go a little down the street and we paid about 10 euros for 24hrs. I have a blue badge and used this in a disabled space right outside the main entrance for free.

5 minute walk over the bridge to restaurants etc

What could be improved: Nothing 😀

  • Gill from United Kingdom – 2 May 2024 (8/10)

    Location good.
    Size of apartment
    Communication good with host

What could be improved: Specifically asked prior to visit if there was a hairdryer, told yes but none found.
Would benefit from a folder or information about sights , bus /taxi info.
    Good restaurants . Etc
Extra blankets as one of our party was cold , only found one eiderdown /cover ,also no extra pillows available

  • Ian from United Kingdom – 9 February 2024 (9/10)

Wonderful truly luxurious appartment, elegant, comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. The location felt very safe. The river views were stunning. There were several nice cafés and a good supermarket nearby. We hope to return when visiting Verona in the future.

What could be improved: Everything was wonderful. Just a thing to keep in mind, if taking the lift to go upstairs: the lift cabin is a little compact. I would say, it’s fine for 3-4 people with a suitcase, but more would be a bit tight. However, it’s the most elegant, well designed and secure building.

  • Bruce from Netherlands – 24 January 2024 (9/10)

This is a great place to stay for families, friends and even colleagues, like us. The apartment has several rooms with one or two person beds and they offer plenty of privacy. It has two bathrooms and they were clean and spacious enough. With 4 colleagues, we had enough time to store our stuff, work in the apartment and enjoy the amazing view! If you cross the bridge, you're in the centre in less than 15 minutes.

The host was amazing because we booked for 3 instead of 4 people and they came to bring extra bed linnen, blankets and towels immediately. The system to open the building and apartment door runs smoothly and there is an elevator if you have to carry heavy bags.

  • Mikela from United Kingdom – 25 October 2023 (9/10)

We loved the view from the balcony and the comfortable living room and bedrooms.

What could be improved: Not applicable

  • Leila from United States – 18 September 2023 (9/10)

The flat was large and clean and well decorated. We did have a nice view of the town and river. Hosts were very responsive. It was close to the city center and close to a supermarket.

What could be improved: The 2 big bedrooms were nice and had A/C. It wasn’t as great for our friend in the small room without A/C.

It would have made it extra nice to have some coffee for the moka pot provided.
