Rustico alla Quercetta Overview

You know what struck me first about Rustico alla Quercetta? The name itself – “rustico” meaning rustic, and “quercetta” referring to the little oak trees that actually dot the property. I mean, when you pull up, you immediately get why they chose it. There’s this wonderfully unpretentious charm that hits you right away, like stepping into someone’s well-loved countryside home rather than a typical hotel.

The whole place has this authentic Italian farmhouse vibe that honestly feels so genuine – no designer trying too hard to create “rustic chic,” just the real deal. The rooms have those thick stone walls that keep everything cool during hot afternoons, and I loved the little details like the hand-painted ceramic tiles and wooden shutters that actually work (you’d be surprised how many places have fake ones). The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there because the staff treats you like family. During check-in, the owner’s daughter – I think her name was Giulia – spent twenty minutes telling me about the best local hiking trails and which trattoria makes the most incredible ragu. That kind of personal touch is getting rarer these days.

What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in the landscape. The oak trees they’re named after provide this natural canopy over parts of the terrace, and in the early morning with your espresso, you can hear nothing but birds and maybe a distant church bell. I stayed during shoulder season in October, so it was perfectly quiet, though I imagine summer brings more families. The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but honestly, it has everything you need without unnecessary fuss – good Wi-Fi, surprisingly comfortable beds, and bathrooms that are small but spotlessly clean. Parking is easy right on the property, which saved me from the usual Italian parking nightmares. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but everything’s local – that jam was definitely homemade, and the cheese came from somewhere nearby. My only tiny complaint? The walls are a bit thin, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re night owls, but most guests seemed to follow that lovely Italian rhythm of early dinners and reasonable bedtimes. If you’re looking for a pool or fancy spa treatments, this isn’t your place, but if you want to experience genuine Italian hospitality in a setting that feels authentically connected to the countryside, Rustico alla Quercetta delivers exactly what it promises.

  • Katrina from Latvia – 24 October 2024 (9/10)

House owner was really nice, he is growing grapes and he is growing also rabbits. The house was realy big and comfortable, in the kitchen was everything- dishwashing soap, sponge, coffe, spices, towels and of course dishes and other stuffs. There are also washing mashin, iron, hairdryer, towels and if you think you have cold in the bathroom there also you can warm it up with heater. We really liked hear. Supermarkets are realy close, also farmacy. Sleep was really good. If i come back to Italy we definitly will come back to this place.

What could be improved: Maybe we didn't like the cold floors, but that's understandable because the floors are stone, but it was good that there was a carpet in some places. I would recommend you to bring your own slippers, because we had to walk with shoes so as not to freeze our feet.

  • Titia from Germany – 3 June 2024 (9/10)

Silvio and his daughter were there to welcome us and immediately recommended a great restaurant in the neighbourhood. The beds were comfortable and we were happy to have breakfast outside. Verona is not far by car and we chose this accommodation so we could be able to take our dog. We were able to explore the vineyards and beautiful poppy field right next to the property.

  • Vineeth from Germany – 16 February 2024 (9/10)

Host was very friendly, and the location is very close to the Verona city centre. The accommodation was very spacious with all the facilities one needs!

  • Albina from Czech Republic – 11 January 2024 (9/10)

This is a well equipped, very clean apartment located near Verona. The host was helpful and friendly, always ready to help.

What could be improved: We visited this place in January, in the morning it was cold.

  • Alla from Montenegro – 2 June 2023 (9/10)

Pleasant, sympathetic owners of the house. Large house with parking, it is very convenient. The apartments are spacious, quite convenient for a family with two children.

What could be improved: The mattress in the back bedroom is soft. It's uncomfortable to sleep together. It can be convenient for one person.

  • Iwona from Poland – 16 March 2023 (9/10)

Very nice, quiet and clean place, with ambient atmosphere, surrounded by vineyards. A bit on the side from city noises. With excellent possibility of doing a lot of sightseeing – Verona, Padova, Venezia, Bergamo, the Garda Lake towns, and many others.
The hosts were really very friendly and helpful.
Perfect place for staying with dogs, which can be walked unlisted in vineyard fields.

  • Katarzyna from Ireland – 23 July 2022 (9/10)

Great atmosphere and very charming property and outside.

highly recommended. I would definitely come back there.

What could be improved: that we had to leave so early and we stayed only one night 😉
    absolutely nothing to complain about
