Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Sciesa24, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name doesn’t give much away, does it? But after staying there, I get it now. This 4-star spot has that understated confidence that really good hotels have, you know what I mean? The kind of place that doesn’t need to shout about itself because it just… works.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between boutique charm and proper hotel functionality. The lobby has this really nice contemporary vibe – not trying too hard to be trendy, but definitely not stuck in some generic hotel design either. I mean, you can tell someone actually thought about the space instead of just ordering everything from a catalog. The check-in was smooth, which honestly matters more than people think when you’ve been traveling all day. Staff seemed genuinely interested in making sure I knew what I needed to know about the area, not just going through the motions.

The rooms are where this place really shines though. Clean lines, good lighting (finally, a hotel that understands you might want to actually read something), and – this is key – everything just functions properly. You know how sometimes hotel rooms feel like they were designed by someone who’s never actually stayed in a hotel? None of that here. The bed was properly comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty, and the bathroom had decent water pressure and toiletries that didn’t smell like industrial cleaner. Small things, but they add up fast when you’re actually living in the space for a few days.

What I really appreciated was the attention to sound. You don’t realize how much street noise affects your sleep until you stay somewhere that’s actually done something about it. I slept well, which for me is honestly half the battle with hotels. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not perfect, but it gets the important stuff right consistently. Breakfast was solid without being elaborate, and they seemed to actually care about coffee quality, which… thank you.

The location works well too, though you’ll want to do a bit of walking to really explore the area. It’s not right in the thick of tourist central, which means you get a bit more of the actual rhythm of the city. I found myself discovering little spots I probably wouldn’t have found if I’d been staying somewhere more obvious. Parking wasn’t a nightmare either, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car in a European city center, you’ll appreciate that detail.

Honestly, Sciesa24 feels like the kind of place you’d recommend to someone who travels enough to know what actually matters. It’s not going to wow you with flashy amenities or over-the-top service, but it’s going to take care of you properly and let you focus on why you’re traveling in the first place. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

  The property is very cool in summer and quiet, which is a great bonus. It is very well-equipped and professionally presented. I loved the small touches such as a welcome basket and the booklet with recommendations. The communication with the host was immediate and very helpful. The property is in a perfect location for the city centre and Arena. I will gladly be back.

  We liked everything. The location is a 5 minute walk from Piazza Bra. There is a choice of restaurants just around the corner. The unit comes equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

  Very convenient location. Safe, private and quiet despite being placed in the middle of town.
  
  What could be improved: A bit tight for three persons if you want to stay longer, but for a couple of days it is a great choice.
  The photo did not match reality completely since we had a sofa bed and the photo suggests a ‘real’ bed. The sofa bed was convenient, however, so no big deal.

  Great location to explore Verona. 15 minute walk to train station as well as tourist sites. Nice sized apartment. We stayed for just 3 days but would be fine for a longer stay. It’s on the ground floor so there is very little natural light but this is a good feature as it keeps the apartment cooler. Check out nearby Enoteca Ristori for aperitifs or dinner.
