Sofia’s house Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Sofia’s house? Walking up to this 3-star place, I honestly wasn’t expecting much – but sometimes the best discoveries come when your expectations are basically on the floor. The moment Sofia herself opened the door (and yes, she actually runs the place), I realized this wasn’t going to be your typical hotel experience.
The thing is, calling it a “hotel” feels sort of wrong – it’s more like staying at your friend’s really cool aunt’s house, if your friend’s aunt happened to have impeccable taste and actually cared about whether you slept well. Sofia has this way of remembering exactly how you like your coffee by day two, and honestly, the breakfast conversations around that big wooden table in the main room became the highlight of my mornings. The rooms themselves aren’t huge – I mean, we’re talking 3-star here – but they’re thoughtfully put together with these little touches that matter. Good reading lights (thank god), actually comfortable pillows, and windows that open wide enough to get proper fresh air circulation. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up.
What really sets this place apart though is Sofia’s local knowledge – she doesn’t just hand you a generic city map and wish you luck. She’ll sketch out walking routes on napkins, tell you which café has the best pastries (and which tourist traps to avoid), and somehow always knows exactly what you’re in the mood for before you do. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here because it’s those accumulated small moments of genuine hospitality that stick with you. Sure, there’s no fancy spa or rooftop bar, but there’s something to be said for a place where the owner genuinely wants you to have a good time rather than just extracting money from your wallet. The other guests tend to be interesting too – I ended up having dinner with a couple from Denmark and a solo traveler who was writing a book about regional architecture. It’s that kind of place where conversations happen naturally. Fair warning though: if you’re the type who prefers total anonymity and room service, this might not be your vibe. But if you want to actually experience a place rather than just pass through it, Sofia’s house delivers in ways that surprised me.

Sofias house Verona: A Delightful Stay**
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sofias house in Verona, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the owners take immense pride in maintaining the property. The apartment was spotlessly clean and meticulously tidy, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease.
One thoughtful touch was the small details the hosts provided—there was coffee available, which was perfect for starting the day without needing to rush out to find a café. It's these kinds of gestures that make a stay feel more personal and welcoming.
In addition, the owners left a wealth of information about the city, including must-see attractions, local dining spots, and transportation tips. This was incredibly helpful for making the most of my time in Verona. The location is also ideal, with easy access to key landmarks like the Arena di Verona and Juliet's House, making it a perfect base for exploring.
Overall, Sofias house offers both comfort and convenience in a beautifully maintained space. If you're looking for a spotless, well-organized place to stay in Verona, with hosts who go the extra mile, I would highly recommend it!

Quiet neighborhood near bus lines or short cab ride into downtown Verona. Apartment is large, air conditioned and comfortable, and very clean. Kitchen was clean and well-functioning. Host was very accessible when needed but otherwise not intrusive and respectful of privacy.

Nice, clean apartment with all facilities which can be needed. Extremely kind and helpful host.
A little far from a centum to walk on foot ( we did it anyway) but a bus stop is few meters from a flat. Strongly recommend that place.Tullio from Argentina – 25 October 2022 (10/10)
