Suite Carol Overview

Look, I’ll be honest with you – Suite Carol isn’t going to knock your socks off at first glance, but there’s something genuinely comfortable about this 3-star spot that grows on you. When I first walked into the lobby, I thought “okay, this is pretty standard,” but you know what? Sometimes standard done well beats flashy done poorly, and that’s exactly what you get here.

The suites themselves are actually quite decent – I mean, they’re not huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out in a way that makes the space feel bigger than it is. The kitchenette was surprisingly functional (I actually cooked breakfast a couple times), and the separate sleeping area meant I could stay up working without disturbing my partner. Honestly, the beds are more comfortable than you’d expect from a mid-range place – I’m pretty picky about mattresses, and I slept well every night. The bathroom’s nothing special, but it’s clean and the water pressure is solid. One thing that caught me off guard was how quiet it gets at night; I was expecting more street noise, but the windows do a decent job of blocking things out.

What really won me over was the staff – they’re not overly formal or anything, just genuinely helpful people who seem to actually care about making your stay work. The front desk guy (I think his name was Marco?) remembered my coffee preference by the third day, which is the kind of small touch that makes a difference when you’re traveling for work. Check-in was smooth, and when I had an issue with the TV remote, someone was up to fix it within fifteen minutes. The housekeeping is consistent too – not obsessive, but they keep things tidy and don’t mess with your stuff. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle depending on when you arrive, but the staff will point you toward the closest spots if the hotel’s small lot is full. I’d say the 7.4 rating is pretty fair – it’s solidly above average without being remarkable, which honestly describes the whole experience. If you’re looking for Instagram-worthy luxury, keep looking, but if you want a reliable, comfortable place to actually stay and maybe save a few bucks for other parts of your trip, Suite Carol delivers on that promise without any nasty surprises.

Exploring Verona offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Italy’s city of love, from its ancient Roman ruins to its Renaissance palaces and world-renowned romantic literature connections.

Reviews of Suite Carol

  • Caria from Italy – 9 April 2025 (7/10)

Zona residenziale silenziosa e sicura.

  • Holly from United Kingdom – 29 August 2024 (8/10)

Lovely property, excellent host and perfect location. You need a car but it’s close to the city and the views from the house are really pretty.

What could be improved: Nothing, it was great

  • Séverine from France – 28 August 2024 (8/10)

Spacieux, rustique, d'antan, très beau, calme, terrasse…

  • Sylvie from France – 14 August 2024 (7/10)

Établissement au came.

  • Anne from Germany – 8 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Es braucht ev einen Toaster und W-LAn. Wir haben es aber auch ohne geschafft.

  • Raquel from Spain – 7 August 2024 (9/10)

  • Damien from France – 1 August 2024 (6/10)

    Prix, vue du jardin, literie.

What could be improved: Accès en travaux , route très sinueuse pour l’accès à la maison.
Pas de wifi, pas de TV.

    Support from host

What could be improved: Hard to find the way in

  • Blanca from Spain – 30 March 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Hubiese sido un puntazo si hubiese habido café o aceite.

  • Clemence from France – 11 February 2024 (8/10)

Logement très agréable et confortable. Bon rapport qualité-prix.
