Tenuta Delo Relais Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Tenuta Delo Relais? The moment I walked in, it felt like I’d stumbled into someone’s well-kept family secret rather than just another hotel. I mean, with a 9.5 rating, I was expecting something decent, but this three-star place punches way above its weight class – honestly, I’ve stayed at five-star properties that didn’t have half the charm this place does.

The whole setup has this authentic Italian countryside vibe that you can’t fake, you know? It’s the kind of place where the floorboards actually creak with character (in a good way), and the staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re having a good time. The rooms aren’t huge – let’s be real about that – but they’re thoughtfully put together with these lovely rustic touches that make you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s country house rather than a hotel. Actually, the attention to detail is pretty remarkable for a three-star property. I noticed things like proper lighting for reading in bed and bathroom amenities that didn’t feel like afterthoughts, which honestly surprised me given the price point.

What really sets this place apart though is the atmosphere – there’s this peaceful, almost meditative quality to the whole property that’s hard to describe. Maybe it’s the way the light hits the common areas in the afternoon, or how quiet everything gets in the evening, but you’ll find yourself actually relaxing here instead of just sleeping between tourist activities. The breakfast situation is solid too, nothing fancy but fresh and local, which I always appreciate. I did notice the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in some corners of the building (old stone walls, you know how it is), but that might actually be a blessing in disguise if you’re trying to disconnect. The parking is straightforward, which is more than I can say for a lot of places in this region, and check-in was refreshingly smooth – no unnecessary complications or hidden fees that pop up at the last minute. If you’re the type of traveler who values genuine hospitality and authentic atmosphere over flashy amenities, you’re going to love what Tenuta Delo Relais has to offer.

Reviews of Tenuta Delo Relais

  • Rafaela from Brazil – 11 March 2025 (10/10)

We had a fantastic weekend. My boyfriend and I were delighted with the place, walking around the garden was magical. Impeccable cleanliness. Very good breakfast.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Gunnisiggi from Iceland – 15 February 2025 (10/10)

The location is perfect in short distance from the city center.
Everything about this place is exceptional and I highly recommend this place.

  • Flora from Australia – 16 December 2024 (10/10)

It’s private and quiet location on a hilltop surrounded by vineyards and scenic appeal and yet only a 10 minute drive into Verona city.

What could be improved: Nothing. We loved everything.

  • Leead from Israel – 17 August 2024 (10/10)

The staff is very warm and friendly, rooms are clean and well facilitated. The place itself is amazing, it is like a small estate right on the border of Verona, just 6km, about 10min drive, to Verona center. The garden is beautiful to walk between the trees, the vineyards, relax in comfortably located seating spots, or pick and eat sweet fruit like fig and pear right from trees (!) In the morning the sunrise is an unbeatable experience. This is one of the best places I have evet stayed in. It is very special, quiet, family oriented and romantic at the same time.

What could be improved: Nothing really, but if to scratch my head then I would say that the GPS app lead us there through citrus fields instead of the main road. You can manage with Taxi, but better to have your own car. Also, breakfast is very modest – delicious, but not huge buffet. It is a very homey place.

  • Haykal from Oman – 29 July 2024 (10/10)

The setting is magnificent. Absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms and breakfast room are very spacious.

  • Itay from Israel – 16 July 2024 (10/10)

Everything was exceptional. From the hosting family which became close friends, to the area, the recommendations, the food, the help we got when we left a suitcase at a previous destination. Just spectacular, will come back as soon as we can.

    Do not miss this place!!!

What could be improved: Absolutely nothing

  • Marco from Switzerland – 15 July 2024 (10/10)

In a picturesque setting amidst the hills near Verona, this enchanting agriturismo property is nestled between vineyards and olive groves. A stay in this idyllic retreat promises an unforgettable experience for all the senses. The rustic beauty of the surrounding landscape, combined with the charm of the traditional accommodations, contributes to an authentic atmosphere and invites guests to savor the tranquility and serenity of rural life. The excellent breakfast featuring local products and homemade specialties completes the culinary experience. With warm hospitality and a panoramic view over the gentle hills, this agriturismo is the perfect sanctuary for those seeking relaxation and indulgence.

What could be improved: Everything was perfect, there is nothing to criticize.

  • Jürgen from Germany – 29 June 2024 (9/10)

Lovely located inmidst vineyards… short ride to Verona

What could be improved: Car mandatory (not much dinner options to walk to) – but that was clear!

  • Marko from Slovenia – 15 April 2024 (10/10)

Estate in nature, wonderful surrounding. Peace.
Very kind staff, specially the friendly owner.
Rustical housing, every premise has its soul.
    Rich, delicious breakfast.

What could be improved: We got the last, the smallest room. Economy type.
The size would be more comfortable for single use, as a french bed and wooden wardrobe covers almost all floor plan.
