Valpolicella39 Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Valpolicella39 on a quiet residential street in Verona, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — and that’s exactly the point. This four-star boutique property feels more like staying at a stylish friend’s place than a traditional hotel, which honestly makes it all the more charming. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance you can’t fake, tucked away from the tourist crowds but close enough that you’re not stranded.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually in a real Veronese neighborhood, not some sanitized hotel district. There’s a little café around the corner where locals grab their morning espresso (and trust me, they know their coffee), plus you can walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes. The couples who stay here get it — there’s something romantic about strolling back through quiet streets after dinner, rather than fighting through crowds of day-trippers. The parking situation is brilliant too, which anyone who’s driven in Italian city centers will appreciate.

Your Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of modern comfort and Italian character — you know, the kind of place where everything works properly but still feels authentic. The design is clean and thoughtful without being sterile, and honestly, the attention to detail impressed me. What really stood out was how quiet everything was at night, despite being in the city. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely, unhurried feel — probably because you’re not competing with hundreds of other guests for everything. The breakfast setup is intimate and well-curated, focusing on quality local ingredients rather than an overwhelming buffet spread. I mean, when you’re in Italy, you want proper Italian breakfast anyway, right? The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, offering recommendations that feel personal rather than scripted. They’ll point you toward that hidden osteria or suggest the best time to visit Juliet’s balcony without the crowds.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to Valpolicella39 is that rare combination of intimacy and professionalism — it’s sophisticated without being stuffy, local without being inconvenient. The 9.5 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just works smoothly, from check-in to those little touches that show someone’s actually thinking about your comfort. For couples especially, there’s something special about having your own quiet corner of Verona to return to each evening, away from the tour groups but still connected to the city’s rhythm. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though plenty of smart travelers have clearly figured it out already.

Nicely equipped place, just outside of Verona, but easy access to the city. Bit noisy because it is on the main intersection, but its not terrible.

  • Wwwoloszynski from Poland – 14 September 2024 (9/10)

Cleanliness, self check-in, pleasant and helpful owner

  • Dana from Romania – 27 August 2024 (9/10)

If you are looking for a very traditional italian place but modern and exquisite in the same time, this is the place. The place is clean, nice and very close to Verona, in Perona. The parking just in front of the building is an asset if you travel by car. The street noise is not disturbing and if the windows are closed, this is not an issue at all even you are a light sleeper.

What could be improved: The access to the building based on the photos of the passports it's a good thing, this provide us a feeling of safety. Nonetheless, they haven't a clear policy of personal data operation according to GDPR and we receive a confirmation of data deletion only by whatsapp.

  • Roxana from Romania – 21 August 2024 (10/10)

Lovely apartment, perfectly clean and beautiful. The location is perfect, with a bus station right in front of the apartment that takes you to Verona city center. Parking in front of the building or under it. Check in and check out super easy!
The host was very helpful in providing useful information about the city and answered all the question we had. Our stay was perfect!

  • Piotr from Poland – 18 August 2024 (10/10)

Not far away from Verona, very spacious place and well equipped, very easy check in.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Denis from Estonia – 12 August 2024 (9/10)

Nice and cozy apartment, good connection with Verona city center (bus stop 2 minutes from apartment door).

What could be improved: To get door keys and access codes you will need provide copies of documents in advance. Using TV is quite complicated, but owner Mr. Franco was very helpful and kindly visited/helped us with that.

  • Elena from Bulgaria – 26 July 2024 (10/10)

Very nice and polite hosts. Check-in is convenient even in the later hours. The apartment is near a stop for a walk in the city of Verona. Friendly and clean! It has all the necessary appliances for a great and unforgettable vacation. There is a park suitable for families with children 200-300 meters from the apartment. I would definitely visit this place again. Visit it too! It's great and cozy!

  • Rashmi from India – 23 June 2024 (10/10)

Our favorite place during our Italy trip, this apartment in Verona was perfect respite during our busy trip. It's a one room apartment in Valpolicella area, outside Verona near the wineries. We could take the bus to the city to explore and come back to this less touristy area to unwind.
The location will be more ideal if you have a car.

What could be improved: Stairs, but that's a problem only with heavy luggage. Luckily the owner helped carry our stuff to the apartment
