The name actually makes perfect sense once you step inside – there’s this genuinely luxurious feel that’s more sophisticated than flashy, if that makes sense. I mean, when I first booked it, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a 4-star place with “apartment” in the name, but honestly, it delivers on both fronts in a way that surprised me.

The space feels like staying in a really well-appointed friend’s place rather than a typical hotel room. Everything’s thoughtfully laid out – the kind of setup where you can actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase for your entire stay. The furnishings have this rich, tactile quality (hence the velvet reference, I suppose), and the lighting is spot-on – warm enough for evening relaxation but bright enough that you can actually read without squinting. What I particularly appreciated was the kitchenette situation – it’s not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation, but actual cooking facilities that you might use. The bathroom’s got this rainfall showerhead that actually has decent pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss even at higher-end places.

Here’s the thing though – and this might be why it’s scoring a 9.3 with guests – it’s the little details that add up. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently (I was working remotely for part of my stay), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and the windows are well-insulated so street noise isn’t an issue even if you’re facing a busier side. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood well enough to give useful recommendations rather than just pointing you toward the obvious tourist spots. I did notice they keep the common areas really clean, and there’s this subtle attention to maintenance that you don’t always see – like, the elevator doesn’t make weird noises and door handles don’t feel loose or worn. It’s the kind of place where you can tell someone’s actually paying attention to the guest experience rather than just going through the motions.

  Appartamento stupendo, pulito, funzionale. Marco è gentilissimo, una persona davvero piacevole. La posizione è ottima, sia per Verona che per Gardaland che per il parco naturale. Consigliatissimo!
