You know what caught me off guard about Verona Movie Lovers? I was expecting some cheesy themed hotel with cardboard cutouts and fake movie posters everywhere, but this place actually gets it right. The whole concept revolves around cinema – and I mean properly done, not just slapping some film quotes on the walls and calling it a day.

Walking into the lobby, there’s this subtle soundtrack playing (think classic film scores, nothing too obvious), and the lighting has that warm, golden hour quality that makes everything look slightly cinematic. The rooms are where they really nail the theme though. Each one celebrates different genres or iconic films, but it’s done with taste – rich fabrics, vintage movie equipment as décor, and honestly, some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. My room had this gorgeous Art Deco vibe going on, complete with a vintage poster from a Fellini film. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too, which you don’t always get with boutique places like this.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve been there a while. The elevator plays different movie themes each time you ride it (I got the Pink Panther theme twice – made me smile every time). There’s a small screening room on the ground floor where they show classic films in the evenings, and the staff actually knows their cinema history. I mean, the guy at reception gave me a twenty-minute rundown of filming locations around Verona when he found out I was interested in scouting some spots. The location itself is pretty solid – you’re close enough to the main tourist areas that you can walk to Juliet’s balcony and the Arena in about fifteen minutes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds right outside your window. Parking can be a bit tricky (this is Italy, after all), but they have arrangements with a nearby garage that won’t completely destroy your budget. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you experience the place – it’s one of those hotels that just works on every level without trying too hard to impress you.

  Great location, walking distance to interesting places, shops , backery, restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: Overall impression was good , only few minor issues like not working Owen or bathtub plug.

  Superb location only a 5 minute walk into Verona centre, a lovely clean and very tidy apartment. The kitchen is excellent, the lounge area perfect, bathroom and en suite were really nicely set out. The check in and Vikey system they have worked very well – more should take up this idea! I seriuosly recommend this apartment!
  
  What could be improved: My only small gripe is that that 1 of the 2 single beds wasn't really a bed, but more of a temorary pull out bed – and therefore wasn't very comfortable. Also, if you're a fan of multiple pillows we only had 1 per bed.

  Luxurious huge apartment in a beautiful house in the historical center of old Verona. The feeling of being immersed in the world of Romeo and Juliet, all historical places are very close. Everything in the apartment is of the highest standard. Everything is new, very nice and high quality. The hostess is very responsive and pleasant, she helped us with any question. It was an unforgettable vacation for our family! We recommend!
