You know what caught me off guard about VeronaInFlat – Francesco? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be fancy but somehow gets everything right. I mean, when you’re looking at apartment-style accommodations in Verona, you’re usually making trade-offs – either you get character but questionable plumbing, or modern amenities in some sterile box. Francesco’s place actually manages to split the difference pretty well.

The apartment itself has this lived-in warmth that you don’t find in cookie-cutter hotels. The furniture looks like it was chosen by someone who actually cares about comfort over Instagram appeal, and honestly, after a long day wandering around the Roman amphitheater or getting lost in the old town’s maze of streets, that matters more than you’d think. The kitchen is properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. I actually cooked a few meals there using ingredients from the local markets, which saved money and gave me an excuse to practice my terrible Italian with the vendors. The Wi-Fi is solid (tested it extensively during some rainy afternoon work sessions), and the shower has proper water pressure, which is surprisingly rare in these older Italian buildings.

What really sells this place though is Francesco himself. The guy clearly knows Verona inside and out, and he’s not stingy with recommendations. He pointed me toward this little osteria tucked away near Piazza delle Erbe that I never would have found otherwise – the kind of spot where locals argue about football over house wine and the pasta is better than places charging three times as much near the tourist areas. The location puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything you’d want to see, but you’re far enough from the main drags that you’re not dealing with tour groups gathering under your windows at 7 AM. Street parking can be a bit of a puzzle (like everywhere in Verona’s centro storico), but Francesco gives you the insider scoop on where to find spots without getting tickets. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For the price point, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, it beats the hell out of cramped hotel rooms where you’re paying extra for services you don’t need.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

  Location of the apartment is good, busses leave nearby. There are also good restaurants near, pizzeria Rio and Osteria Terzo Ponte. Apartment is clean and spacious. Air condition worked well. There is terrace in apartment and it was nice to have breakfast outside.
  
  What could be improved: There could have been few trash bags for guests to use 🙂 Just a small detail.

  Location was very convenient to exploring the neighborhood and Verona old town. The yard was large, entry was easy. The apartments was spacious and very clean and comfortable. I felt very safe as a single woman. Stores and amenities were nearby.

  Klidná lokalita. Zahrada. Pračka součástí apartmánu.
  
  What could be improved: Pouze 1 peřina. Znečištěné nádobí. Špatné vybavení – mix věcí co se někde našly. Naprosto hloupé uspořádání nábytku a vybavení kuchyně. Z důvodu nuceného zatahování rolet byl pokoj celkem málo větraný a zatuchlý. Hodně zdlouhavý a zbytečný check-in.

  L’appartamento era grande e pulito, tutte le necessità erano presenti e ben visibili e la zona davvero molto tranquilla.
  
  What could be improved: Si potrebbe fare qualcosa di più per far sentire i clienti bene accolti. La proprietaria è stata disponibile, ma ha fatto veramente solo lo stretto necessario senza far sentire un minimo di calore in più, anche se solo tramite messaggio.

  Great communication with the home owner. Great location about 10-15mins from the train station if you go by taxi. The accommodation was close to the supermarket about 15mins walk. Overall experience was great. The accommodation was clean and spacious.

  The apartment is rather big, has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
  It has a very nice big private garden.
  Has a functional washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment no longer looks as good as in the pictures, has heavy signs of use (i.e. smudges on the walls, utensils and dishes are somewhat scruffy and worn-out), can definitely use a refreshing and a thorough cleaning, we didn't feel it clean enough to unpack our clothes in the wardrobe.
  The apartment is listed as having parking available – it was an important filter for our stay and one of the reasons we booked that place, however there's no parking available in reality – most days we found a parking spot easily, but the few days we got back after 8pm we had to spend a long time looking for a spot and parking 5-10 minutes away, very unpleasant experience with a small child.

  Procedura molto semplice
  in auto si raggiunge il parcheggio strategico "Saba" in meno di dieci minuti
  mi è sembrata una zona tranquilla.
  
  What could be improved: Soprattutto per chi viaggia in auto, all'arrivo del primo giorno sarebbe stato fantastico potere prendere un caffè extra appena arrivato. Un paio di capsule in più aiutano davvero tanto.
  Potreste anche cercare accordi con qualche garage dei condomini vicini. Un appartamento a bolzano usava ad esempio il garage del condominio di fronte.
