Villa Manzati Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Villa Manzati? I was expecting your typical mid-tier hotel experience – decent rooms, okay service, maybe a continental breakfast that’s fine but forgettable. Instead, I walked into what honestly feels like someone’s incredibly well-maintained family estate that just happens to welcome guests.

The thing is, this place has that rare quality where you can tell the owners actually care about the details. I mean, the lobby smells like fresh lavender instead of that generic hotel air freshener smell, and there are these gorgeous hand-painted tiles throughout that look like they’ve been there forever but are kept absolutely pristine. My room – well, it wasn’t huge, but it had this beautiful wrought-iron balcony where I ended up spending way too much time with my morning coffee. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too, which matters more than people think when you’re doing a lot of walking around during the day. Actually, I slept better here than I have at some five-star places, and that’s saying something.

What really impressed me though was how the staff remembers your name after like, one conversation. The woman at reception (I think her name was Sofia?) knew I preferred sparkling water by day two and just had it ready when I’d come back from exploring. Little things like that make such a difference when you’re traveling. The breakfast spread isn’t massive, but everything’s clearly made fresh – the pastries were still warm when I got there around 8am, and they do this amazing local honey that I’m pretty sure I ate way too much of. Parking was never an issue either, which is honestly a relief because I’ve stayed places where you’re circling the block at midnight trying to find a spot. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re a really light sleeper, you might hear some street noise in the early morning – but honestly, it’s just the sounds of the neighborhood waking up, and I kind of liked it. There’s something authentic about hearing the local bakery truck making deliveries at 6am. For a three-star place, Villa Manzati punches way above its weight, and that 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there. It’s the kind of place you’d actually want to come back to, not just because it’s convenient, but because it feels special.

Reviews of Villa Manzati

  • Gerhard from Germany – 6 January 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Fällt mir grad nix ein.

  • Markus from Germany – 19 October 2024 (10/10)

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Für uns war es perfekt

What could be improved: Aufgrund der vielen Stechmücken konnten wir den Garten nicht nutzen. Das nächste Mal mit Mückenspray

  • Noëlla from Belgium – 8 October 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: Een klein puntje van kritiek:
Volgens mijn zussen en mij mochten de living en de slaapkamers iets gezelliger en warmer ingericht zijn.

  • Gillian from Australia – 1 October 2024 (10/10)

A beautifully renovated apartment. A quiet area overlooking Verona. Our host Antoine very helpful and hospitable.

What could be improved: Nothing! Stairs are part of being in Italy so not a problem for us

  • Hanna from Sweden – 26 September 2024 (10/10)

Extremely beautiful location on the hill with a private garden facing the city. The place was both incredibly stylish and tidy with two large bathrooms and grand living room with direct access to the garden. Check-in was seamless, the hosts were very kind and even left us a bottle of prosecco for our arrival!

  • Beatrice from France – 16 September 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: Il n’y a rien à « ne pas aimer » ici!

  • Dovilė from Lithuania – 26 August 2024 (10/10)

    What could be improved: Nebuvo

  • Ajay from United Kingdom – 25 June 2024 (10/10)

Fantastic location over looking Verona set on the hill, less then a mile from the centre.

What could be improved: everything at the property was great during our stay.

  • Alma from Croatia – 25 June 2024 (10/10)

It is almost unbelievable that place like this can be rented. It is like you get fully renovated historical Veronese Villa from 1935 with amazing view and garden. 20 minutes easy walk to the heart of Verona. Every window has mosquitoes nets.

Parking wasn’t problem (in the street above house). Just follow good directions of the owners. Also, about the owners, great people. Definitely coming back.
*place was renovated with an excellent taste of architecture and design.

    Greeting from Croatia ✌️

What could be improved: Everything was perfect!

  • Beata from Switzerland – 12 May 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is truly outstanding! Renovated with the use if high-quality materials and tastefully decorated.

We enjoyed walking from the villa through a pleasant neighborhood to the attractions and restaurants of Verona.

We would be very happy to return.

What could be improved: No complaints whatsoever
