FIERA ROOMS Overview
You know, I stumbled upon Fiera Rooms kind of by accident last spring when I was road-tripping through northern Italy – I’d just come off the A4 motorway after a long drive from Milan, and honestly, spotting that unassuming sign on Via Giovanni Scopoli felt like a godsend. It’s tucked away in Borgo Roma, this quieter, more residential slice of Verona that’s not right in the tourist crush of the centro storico, but close enough that you can hop on a bus or even walk if you’re feeling energetic. I mean, it’s literally a stone’s throw from the Verona Fiera exhibition center – which, if you’re here for one of those big trade shows like Vinitaly, makes it a no-brainer. Parking was a breeze; they have a small lot out front, and I didn’t have to circle the block like you sometimes do in the busier parts of town. Check-in was straightforward – the owner, this friendly guy named Marco (I think?), chatted with me about the best local spots for aperitivo while handing over the key. No fancy lobby or anything, just a clean, simple reception that smells faintly of fresh coffee from the machine they keep going all day. Oh, and fair warning: if you’re arriving late, it can get a bit quiet around here after 10 PM, with mostly locals heading home from work, so don’t expect buzzing nightlife right outside.
What really won me over, though, were the rooms themselves – they’re not luxurious or anything, but for a 3-star spot with an 8.2 rating, they punch above their weight. Mine was on the second floor, overlooking a little courtyard with some potted olive trees that rustled in the breeze, and it had this cozy, lived-in feel with wooden floors that creaked just a tad (in a charming way, not annoying). The bed was firm but comfy, sheets crisp like they’d just come off the line, and the bathroom – well, it’s compact, Italian-style, with a shower that actually has decent pressure, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings. Breakfast is included, nothing extravagant, but they do fresh croissants and cappuccinos that hit the spot, plus some local cheeses if you’re lucky. I spent one morning wandering down to the nearby Adige River path – it’s about a 10-minute stroll along Via Tombetta, where you can grab a gelato from that tiny shop locals swear by, or cut through to the fairgrounds if there’s an event. Noise-wise, it’s pretty peaceful; you might hear the occasional scooter zipping by, but nothing that kept me up. One minor gripe: the Wi-Fi can be spotty in the rooms farthest from reception, so if you’re working remotely, snag one closer to the front.
All in all, I’d say Fiera Rooms is perfect if you’re looking for that authentic Verona vibe without the inflated prices of spots nearer the Arena – you know, the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than in some sterile chain. It’s great for couples or solo travelers who want easy access to the city (the bus to Piazza Bra takes like 15 minutes), especially during the busy opera season when everything downtown books up fast. Sure, it’s not flashy, and the decor could use a fresh coat of paint here and there, but that’s part of its charm – unpretentious and real. If you’re plotting a trip to Verona, give it a shot; I left feeling like I’d discovered a little hidden gem, and I’d totally go back next time I’m chasing those Veneto sunsets.

Good location close to the centre (about 20 minutes by foot). A cozy clean room. A hospitable staff (answers the questions quickly, we could leave our luggage at the reception after check-in).
Alex from Italy – 21 March 2025 (8/10)
Very clean. Quiet.
What could be improved: Could have done with a photo of the outside of the property to make it easier to find. Door to building open not locked. Also not locked to the living area where rooms were. Possibly other guests not closing or locking doors.Rodolfo from Malta – 11 March 2025 (7/10)
The room were confortable and clean. Location is good if you want to go to the expo
What could be improved: Everything was done via online, no contact with a human being. No lift that is difficult when you carry heavy staff and kids and the stairs are fill of the smell of the chinese restaurant on the floor 0Olena from United Kingdom – 4 November 2024 (8/10)
Location, clean, comfortable, It is very convenient that there is a restaurant on the first floor. Delicious food in the restaurant.

Very good value for money, very clean and tidy rooms. Excellent WC & Shower, very safe & secure. shared kitchen facilities, location about 15 to 20 minutes walk from Verona Porta Nuova Bus & Train Station, No on site reception. You receive an email the night before with 2 links to check in on line via Vickey.it, The second link dosen't become active until the date of your stay. Manageress was very helpful as I arrived early.
What could be improved: It could be a bit more clear that Check In & Access is by Remote Automation on Vickey.it. I was lucky that I arrived early and the Manageress was on site and she gave me the room key.Bettina from United States – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
Clean and the little balcony is a plus…
Vicki from Australia – 12 September 2024 (8/10)
Communication with the owner was prompt and responsive.
What could be improved: It was a little out of town. I was on foot. Bus stop was only 50 metres away. There was an Asian infusion restaurant down below accommodation which sold great food and there was a Lidl Supermarket 300 metres away. Other than that, you needed to catch the bus into the heart of Verona which is magnificent.Annie from United Kingdom – 8 September 2024 (8/10)
Very clean, big room with great air con and comfy bed!
What could be improved: Rooms can be slightly noisy if there are other guests, but nothing bad.Hafsa from France – 30 August 2024 (8/10)
Cleanliness
What could be improved: A bit far from the city center, but there’s multiple buses available.
