Hotel Description
I remember stumbling upon the Queen Verona Luxury Apartment kind of by accident – well, not really, I’d booked it after a friend raved about staying in Verona’s historical center without feeling like a total tourist trap. It’s tucked away at 6 Via Daniele Manin, apartment 9, right in the thick of things but not smack in the middle of the chaos. Honestly, arriving late afternoon after a train from Milan, I was beat, and finding parking was a bit of a hassle – you know how it is in these old Italian cities, spots are gold dust unless you snag one of those underground garages near Porta Nuova, about a 15-minute walk away. But once I buzzed in and climbed those creaky wooden stairs (no elevator, just a heads up if you’re hauling heavy bags), it was like stepping into someone’s chic pied-à-terre. The host, this friendly local named Marco, met me with a quick espresso and a rundown of the neighborhood – he even pointed out the best gelato spot on Via Cappello, which is literally around the corner from Juliet’s House, but without the crowds if you go early morning.
What really sold me was how the place feels lived-in yet luxurious, you know? It’s a proper apartment, not some sterile hotel room – think high ceilings with exposed beams that smell faintly of aged wood and lavender from the fresh linens. The kitchen’s stocked with basics like olive oil and pasta, so I whipped up a simple carbonara one night using stuff from the market at Piazza delle Erbe, just a five-minute stroll away. Mornings were my favorite: sipping coffee on the little balcony overlooking Via Manin, listening to the distant hum of scooters and church bells from Santa Anastasia nearby – it’s that perfect blend of city buzz without being overwhelming, especially in shoulder season like September when Verona’s not swamped with opera festival folks heading to the Arena. The bed? Oh man, it’s one of those massive kings with pillows that swallow you whole, and the bathroom’s got this rainfall shower that makes you forget the outside world. There’s decent Wi-Fi too, which mattered for me catching up on work emails, and it’s surprisingly quiet at night – maybe because the building’s old and solid, blocking out the occasional street noise from folks wandering back from dinner on Via Mazzini. I mean, it’s not perfect; the AC can be a tad finicky in peak summer heat, but nothing a quick call to Marco couldn’t fix.
Look, if you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re actually living in Verona rather than just passing through, this place is a gem. That 9.8 rating? Totally earned – it’s got that effortless elegance without trying too hard, and being so central means you can ditch the car and explore on foot: pop over to the Adige River for sunset walks or grab aperitivo at one of those hidden osterias on Via Sottoriva that locals swear by. I left feeling like I’d uncovered a secret, and honestly, I’d book it again in a heartbeat for my next trip, maybe during the quieter winter months when the fog rolls in and the whole city feels like a fairy tale. If Verona’s on your list, do yourself a favor and stay here – it’s the kind of spot that turns a good vacation into something memorable.

The apartment is fabulous. Beautifully finished. Tea and coffee, dishwasher and washing machine pods. 2 bathrooms are brilliant, no waiting for everyone to shower. Gorgeous area right beside Piazza Bra. 10min walk to train station and a super market beside the apartment. I will definitely be staying here again.

What could be improved: Everything was fine !David from United Kingdom – 12 May 2024 (10/10)
Ideally located round the corner from Piazza Bra but so quiet, Property was very spacious and well equipped with modern fittings and appliances (including washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, 2 ring hob, microwave etc). 2 full shower rooms was very useful. We had a lovely stay and were pleased to have the quiet oasis after a busy day.
What could be improved: Minor observations only – could have done with a clothes airer to hang washing on and some more storage options for clothing.Aliona from Moldova – 21 March 2024 (10/10)
We enjoyed everything at this place. The apartment is located in centro storico and you can get to the main sightseeings by walk. Is large, bright, very well equipped with all necessary and a very gorgeous view from the window. We enjoyed a lot our stay and will get back when will be in Verona for sure☺️
