What I loved most was how quiet it stays even during the busier tourist seasons. You’re close enough to walk to all the main sites – and I mean actually walk, not that “walking distance” nonsense that means a 45-minute hike – but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with crowds of tourists stumbling back from dinner at midnight.

The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see locals doing their shopping and going about their daily routines, which honestly made the whole experience feel more authentic. I spent quite a bit of time just people-watching from the windows with my morning coffee. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-hiding or complicated lockbox situations. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of the city (let’s be real, it’s tricky everywhere in Verona’s historic areas), but there are options nearby if you’re driving. The apartment stays cool during summer months without being overly air-conditioned, and the Wi-Fi actually works reliably, which – trust me – isn’t always a given with European apartment rentals. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself wanting to extend your stay, not because there’s more to see in the city, but because you’ve gotten genuinely comfortable and don’t want to leave that cozy setup behind.

  Unfortunately and out of owners control we were unable to sit on the balcony due to renovations of another apartment on lower ground so was very noisy throughout the day when we returned periodically in between site seeing

  This is a beautiful apartment in a fabulous location, literally just around the corner from the Juliet balcony.
