I walked in expecting your typical mid-range place – it’s got that 3-star rating after all – but honestly, this spot punches way above its weight class. The lobby has this understated elegance that immediately made me think someone actually cared about the design choices here, not just threw together whatever was cheapest.

The suites themselves (and yes, they’re actual suites, not just rooms with a fancy name) surprised me with how thoughtfully laid out they are. I mean, whoever designed these spaces understood that travelers need more than just a bed and a bathroom. You’ve got separate living areas that don’t feel cramped, and the kitchenettes are actually functional – I’m talking full-sized appliances, not those mini-fridges that barely fit a water bottle. The whole place has this quiet, residential feel that’s honestly refreshing when you’re tired of hotels that sound like construction zones with all the hallway chatter and slamming doors. Here, the soundproofing is solid enough that you might actually forget you’re in a hotel.

What really sells me on this place though is the attention to details that most places completely overlook. The lighting actually works for reading – revolutionary concept, right? The Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear when you need it most, and the housekeeping staff seems to understand that some guests like their stuff exactly where they left it. I’ve stayed in plenty of higher-rated places where they’d move everything around like they were redecorating your entire life. The staff here strikes that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering, which honestly can be harder to find than you’d think. That 8.7 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days – it’s not flashy enough to hit those perfect 9s and 10s, but it nails all the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re trying to get some rest or get work done. If you’re looking for Instagram-worthy infinity pools or marble everything, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a place that feels more like a well-appointed temporary apartment than a typical hotel room, Suite Mery delivers exactly that without any of the usual hassles.

  The accommodation was very cozy, perfect for couples or even families of 4, is situated pretty close to center, you have the possibility to cook, fridge, microwave, even a bathtub. Fluffy blankets.
  
  What could be improved: The walls not very good isolated and you can easily hear the noise outside. But otherwise I really recommend it. 👌

  A wonderful large apparment for 3 or 4 people, located in a beautiful area ot Verona. I visited with my parents and there was nothing that we missed in this appartment. A fully equipped kitchen, a clean and spacious bathroom, large living room, where I slept on the retractable sofa. The area around was beautiful with old and new luxurius buildings. Was very enjoyable to walk around. Was also quite near the Duomo (some 10min by walk) and some 20mins from the old city centre. There was also a great gelato some 5 minutes from there.
  Was easy to reach from the railway station (20mins by bus and walk).

  What could be improved: Prijs/kwaliteit is vergeleken met de andere (mooiere en beter gelegen) accomodaties die we deze vakantie hebben geboekt duurder.

  Good location in a quiet area, not very central but easy to reach most places by foot.
  The apartment is clean, everything matches the photo.
  The owners helped with calling a taxi for 5 am.
