Verona Uptown Mood Apartment Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Verona Uptown Mood Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But after staying there, I get it. This place actually has a vibe that’s hard to pin down, sort of like a really well-curated friend’s apartment that happens to be in one of the most romantic cities in the world. The 4-star rating feels right, though honestly, it punches above its weight in some ways.
What struck me first was how they’ve managed to capture that authentic Verona feeling without falling into the tourist trap aesthetic you see everywhere else. You know what I mean – no cheesy Romeo and Juliet quotes plastered on the walls or fake medieval touches. Instead, there’s this understated elegance that feels genuinely Italian. The space has these beautiful high ceilings (which actually help during summer months when the city gets pretty warm), and the windows – oh man, the light that comes through in the morning is just perfect for coffee. Speaking of which, they’ve got this little setup that lets you make proper Italian coffee, not that instant stuff you sometimes get stuck with.
The location is what really makes this place shine, though I should mention that Verona’s old town can get pretty lively during peak tourist season. But here’s the thing – being in the uptown area means you’re close enough to walk to all the main sights (the Arena, Piazza delle Erbe, even Juliet’s balcony if that’s your thing), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups right outside your door at 7 AM. I actually found myself taking these lovely evening walks through the quieter residential streets nearby, which gave me a completely different perspective on the city than most visitors get. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel where you’ll see locals doing their evening shopping and kids playing in small piazzas – it’s the real Verona, you know?
The apartment itself deserves that 9.4 rating it’s got. Everything works properly (and I say this as someone who’s stayed in places where “charming” was code for “the shower barely works”). The Wi-Fi is solid, the air conditioning actually cools the space down, and there’s enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I particularly loved the little details – proper hangers in the closet, good lighting for reading, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab some local ingredients from the market and cook something simple. The bed was comfortable too, which matters more than people think when you’re doing a lot of walking around cobblestone streets all day.
If I had to mention one small thing, the building can be a bit tricky to find the first time since some of the street numbers in this part of town aren’t super obvious, but honestly, that’s pretty typical for Italian cities. Once you know where it is, you’re golden. Overall, this place gets the balance right between comfort and authenticity, and in a city like Verona where you’ve got everything from budget hostels to luxury hotels, finding that sweet spot isn’t always easy.

If I could give this apartment more than 10 stars I would! Great location for exploring Verona in a nice quiet neighbourhood a stones throw from the bridge to the old town! Communication from the host was excellent with loads of tips and recommendations for Verona! The apartment itself is truly a home from home, we stayed in the superior apartment which had absolutely everything you could possibly need. Great powerful shower and hairdryer, really comfortable bed and lovely touches throughout. Don’t hesitate about booking this apartment for your stay!

A beautiful and super nice apartment in a perfect location, away from the tourist crowds in a very good neighborhood and yet only a few minutes from the center. Valeria's restaurant and sightseeing recommendations were all top notch and we had a great time in Verona.

The apartment is very nice, clean, very well positioned. The apartment is also equipped with everything you need for a stay, including coffee and tea capsules from the house. The apartment is located just after the Ponte della Vittoria, a 10-minute walk from Piazza delle Erbe. Very easy self check-in with exact instructions from the host. It will remain the first option when I return to this wonderful city.
